After an artistic training in his native Spain, Eduardo León Garrido went to Paris for an apprenticeship, supported by King Alfonso II. From 1875, having gained recognition within the French salon scene, the artist began to travel through Europe and achieved international success. Above all, his portraits of women in Rococo style enjoyed great popularity.
